July 2019
KirbyPod came to life in July of 2019 when Michael Barnett was on the way to a meeting on a scooter and realized his hands were very dirty after riding. He knew that there had to be a better solution and that lead him to creating the idea.
February 2020
On February 20, 2020 KirbyPod officially filed for our first patent. Little did we know that less than a month later the world would be ever changed by Covid-19, at this point we knew that KirbyPod was an incredible advancement that the micro-mobility industry needed.
March 2022
On March 20,2022, 25 months after our patent was filed we received word that our patent was granted with 6 independent and 5 dependent claims being approved. On this same day we filed for our Continuation In Part to expand the markets we could enter.
Looking Forward
The KirbyPod team is looking to collaborate with industry leaders in the Hand Sanitizer and Micromobility market. As well as expanding our defined markets.
Our Patent
Our patent #11,278,160 was granted filed on February 20, 2020 before Covid changed the world and was successfully granted in March 2022. We have since filed a CIP Application with even more groundbreaking technology and applicable markets.
